Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to provide for a mobile massage session?

The only thing you need to provide is yourself and a space big enough to set up a massage table! We bring a comfortable table, linens, blankets, towels, table warmer in cooler months, relaxing music, and all oils and creams necessary for a relaxing and/or therapeutic massage.

What are the benefits of massage and bodywork?

Massage and bodywork help reduce stress, relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, enhance flexibility, promote relaxation, and support overall well-being. They can also alleviate pain, boost immune function, and improve sleep quality.

Must I be completely undressed?

While most massage and bodywork are traditionally performed with the client unclothed, we encourage you to disrobe to your comfort level. You will be covered by a sheet and blanket throughout the session, with the therapist only undraping the area being worked on. The therapist will leave the room for you to disrobe and get comfortable under the sheet and blanket, and leave again afterwards for you to get dressed.

What health conditions does your massage therapist need to know about?

Before the session, your therapist will ask about medical history to be sure massage is not contraindicated for you. We need to know if you are pregnant, have had any recent acute injury like whiplash or sprains, have uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes, prominent varicose veins, osteoporosis, or any other serious medical conditions.

How will I feel after the massage or bodywork session?

After a massage or bodywork session, you will often feel deeply relaxed and calm. Muscles that were tense and tight may feel looser and more flexible. Many people experience a sense of reduced stress and mental clarity, as well as a boost in mood. It's common to feel a gentle warmth throughout the body and an overall sense of well-being. Some might notice improved circulation and a decrease in aches or discomfort. It's also normal to feel a bit sleepy or fatigued right after the session, as the body shifts into a state of healing and restoration. Drinking water afterward can help flush out any toxins released during the massage. Overall, the experience leaves most people refreshed, rejuvenated, and more connected to their bodies.
